Inoltre, basta soltanto togliere l’elastico per poter disporre di un peso intercambiabile, in modo da pescare sempre con il peso desiderato. Si consiglia di montare sempre una morbida perlina salvanodo sotto il piombo.

Grazie alla scalettatura su tutta la superficie, oltre a avere una buona tenuta al fondo, permette di percepire in modo molto preciso il fondale in cui si sta pescando e recuperando 4-5 giri di mulinello in 4-5 min. circa, con conseguente nuvoletta di sabbia, attira i pesci più curiosi e sospettosi, tipo mormore ecc. La praticità è un'altra loro caratteristica: il cono superiore, dove alloggia lo starlight, è in materiale plastico ma può essere anche di piombo. Pertanto se usati con quest'ultimo, di giorno, sono i classici piombi “ROCCOTOP” e “SPORTENN”, mentre di notte con il cono trasparente diventano “light”. Inoltre cambiare grammatura diventa semplicissimo perché basta svitare la parte inferiore dal cono superiore, trasparente o di piombo, e avvitare la parte inferiore della grammatura desiderata, senza togliere la zavorra dalla lenza.
