Il Monel Trolling Wire di AFW è composto da un unico cavo in lega di nickel e rame. E' morbido quindi adatto per essere imbobinato. La lavorazione speciale da parte di AFW conferisce a questo monel una eccezionale resistenza al nodo con un ottima duttilità ed un elevata resistenza. Questa lega di nichel-rame fornisce la massima resistenza alla corrosione in acqua dolce e marina e, grazie alla sua densità maggiore, affonda più rapidamente e rimane più profondo dell'acciaio inossidabile e di altre linee di trolling.
